Meet candidates in Moreton Bay City Council Division 11 by-election

By Tenika Sanders

Campaigning in the Moreton Bay City Council Division 11 postal vote by-election is gathering pace. Here are the key issues from all seven candidates.

The election date is Saturday September 27. Completed ballot papers must be received by the Electoral Commission Queensland by 5pm on Tuesday October 7, 2025.

“All people enrolled in Division 11 will receive their ballot paper in the post. You do not need to visit a polling place to vote,” Electoral Commissioner Pat Vidgen said.

“Please follow the instruction on your ballot paper carefully to ensure your vote counts. This includes signing the declaration envelope and making sure the envelope is also signed by a witness.”

Mr Vidgen said voting is compulsory for around 29,000 enrolled voters in Division 11. Failure to vote can attract a $166 fine.
