Kallangur man’s $150,000 windfall

By Tyler Nash

A Kallangur man’s favourite nine numbers have delivered him a $150,000 Keno win after years using the special combination of dates.

The man held a Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry bought at Kallangur Tavern, in draw 239, drawn Sunday and took home $152,859.90.

“I have been playing those nine numbers since Keno started,” he explained when contacted by a Keno official. “They’re all family birthdays and other special dates.

‘Knew I was close’

“I’ve had eight out of nine about three times so I knew I was getting close to getting all of them!

“I was at the tavern at the time of the draw, but I wasn’t looking at the screen. But then I looked up and saw someone in the venue had scored a massive prize.

“I knew straight away that there was a pretty good chance it would be me. When I checked my ticket, I was so happy!”
