Work to start on roundabout upgrade

By Tenika Sanders

Design work is complete on a $650,000 pedestrian safety upgrade at Redcliffe’s Anzac Ave and Marine Pde roundabout.

The busy intersection is a key connector to the Redcliffe foreshore and State Member for Redcliffe Yvette D’Ath says safety improvements will be welcomed by locals and visitors.

“Currently, pedestrians need to cross multiple lanes of traffic on Anzac Avenue, which isn’t ideal for active travel choices,” Ms D’Ath says.

“New, raised, pedestrian crossings on all four legs will help see people navigate the roundabout safely.

“The crossing distances will also be shortened, making it easier than ever to get across safely.”
