Try a Trade these school holidays

By Tenika Sanders

Australian Trade College North Brisbane will host Try a Trade and Chef by Trade events at its Scarborough campus during the September school holidays.

The Try a Trade and Chef by Trade Day events are fun and provide young people with an opportunity to discover first-hand what it’s like in a workshop and to get ‘hands-on’ in a range of different trade areas.

The events will be held on Thursday, September 28, with the day running from 9am-3pm. Registration is at 8.30am in the College Hall.

The Try a Trade and Chef by Trade events are open to young people aged 14-17 years.

They range in price from $20 to $50 and cover all materials, eye and ear protection and lunch.

Some programs require participants to wear their own steel-capped safety boots.

All of the college’s trade programs are available at each event:

Registration is essential. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
