Suttons Beach Pavilion survey opens

By Tyler Nash

Public consultation on the design of the new Suttons Beach Pavilion at Redcliffe has opened this morning.

It’s your chance to have a say on what you want it to look like. Consultation runs from today until April 16 and follows the decision to demolish the existing structure, which is beyond repair.

Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Peter Flannery says council wants to hear from residents before starting the design process.

“Jump online and let us know what you want to see there,” he says.

“We’re asking locals to let us know if they want an Art Deco look from the era when the original 1930s Pavilion was built, that might have geometric detailing, decorative windows and potentially even parapets and spires.

“Or a more contemporary style with open floor planning, verandas, and a sleek, minimalist appearance.
