Supercross transformation at Kayo Stadium

By Tenika Sanders

Redcliffe’s Kayo Stadium is being transformed ahead of the opening rounds of the AUSX Supercross Championship this weekend, with 6000 tonnes of dirt being placed on the field which is home to the Dolphins.

The dirt will be transported to Redcliffe from Bald Hills in 200 truckloads and crafted into a challenging track by the experienced team from Protraxx.

A layer of geofab material and large boards have been placed between the turf and the dirt, in a bid to minimise damage to the field which is widely regarded as one of the best in South East Queensland.
