Stolen bike crashes in front of police

By Tyler Nash

Luck ran out for an alleged offender when he crashed a stolen motorbike at Clontarf – right in front of police.

Officers at the Emergency Services Expo, in Pelican Park on Sunday, saw the motorbike crash on Hornibrooke Esplanade around 9.30am.

When speaking with police about the crash, it is alleged the man became very agitated and aggressive, resulting in his arrest for public nuisance.

Police found the motorcycle had a damaged ignition and had been reported stolen.
