Some Easy Tips To Bring Your Energy Bill Down This Summer!

Below are a few tips on how to save on your energy bill this summer. Believe it or not, summer is actually the best season to cut your energy use.

1. Cooler Clothes – When you’re at home, try wearing cool clothes. The cooler your clothes the higher you can set your A/C (Always try aiming for at least 25 degrees Celsius). It will also help you avoid turning on the A/C at all and leaving it on all day!

2.Have a BBQ!- Barbecuing outdoors avoids heating up your kitchen (which often causes us to blast the AC).

3. Use a fan instead – Just use the fan if you can! By using the fan instead of the A/C you will be using a lot less energy.

4. Dry your laundry outside! This uses no energy and has your laundry smelling fresh!  Hanging washing up and taking it down also provides you with a bit of exercise and some Vitamin D from the warm sun!

5. Wash and Go! Skip straightening and blow drying your hair! It is way too hot to even use those kind of appliances in this heat! Just wash and go this summer!

6. And lastly, try ditching the technology and have some fun outdoors instead!
