Prime Minister Visits North Lakes!

A Federal Election will be held by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on 2 July, which will outline strong economic plans for jobs and Australian families. Luke Howarth (Federal Member for Petrie) introduced the Prime Minister to local job seekers on Monday 9th May at The Space in North Lakes where the campaign started.

“As part of our national economic plan, we have a program called PaTH – prepare, hire and trial – which will give job seekers the chance to intern in a real workplace and build up the confidence they need to gain employment.”  said Luke Howarth MP

Many locals who attended the campaign at The Space had found work through job agency Help Enterprises.

“Australia has great opportunities, but also faces challenges from an uncertain global economy”. said Luke Howarth MP

“Now is not the time to risk Labor’s higher tax, higher spending and higher debt and deficit agenda, which will put jobs and growth at risk.

“Last year, around Australia, 300,000 new jobs were created – the strongest jobs growth since 2007″.

“We need to build on this momentum and only the Turnbull Team has a plan for a strong new economy.”
