New Multipurpose Clubhouse in North Lakes!

North Lakes’ $1.36 million multipurpose clubhouse will be the third and final stage of the Kinsellas Sports Fields upgrade. The field lighting has finally been installed and the carpark is nearing completion.

“Awarding the tender for the clubhouse marks the final milestone in the construction of the Kinsellas Sports Fields that once complete, will be able to service a growing, multi-code sports community in Division 4, which already includes grassroots and open-level rugby league, soccer, rugby union and touch football”. said Councillor Julie Greer

According to Councillor Greer, the community facility would feature a 70m2 club room, four change rooms, admin/office space, a fully-serviceable kitchen with bar, the bathroom amenities and storage space.

“The clubhouse has been designed with adaptability in mind, meaning its spaces can be modified to suit the needs of each club for their sports days, special occasions and carnivals. After working closely with the local sporting clubs during construction of the Kinsellas Sports Fields, I can tell you that they’re very excited for the new clubhouse”.

Councillor Greer said works on the clubhouse would begin once construction of the site’s car park has been finalised. The clubhouse is expected to be completed in March 2017, weather permitting.
