Community rallies around Emma’s family

By Tyler Nash

The North Lakes community is rallying around the family of Emma Lovell – the mother of two allegedly murdered on Boxing Day night.

Emma, 41, was fatally stabbed in the chest after she and her husband Lee Lovell disturbed two people who had allegedly broken into the home she shared with her husband and two daughters.

Two boys, both 17, charged with her murder were remanded in custody until January 16 after they appeared briefly in Brisbane Children’s Court yesterday.

Emma, 41, and her husband Lee woke to a dog barking about 11.30pm and an alert from their security system that someone was inside.
