$290,000 boost for community hub

By Tenika Sanders

Caboolture disability support organisation Better Together has received more than $290,000 to accelerate construction of a centre for people with a disability.

The Better Communities Hub project will see a large empty shed at the back of PCYC Caboolture, in Toovey St, converted into a two-level multi-purpose space.

It will have a reception, waiting areas, offices, security, lifts and meeting and breakout rooms.

Job readiness training programs, most for those with a disability but some for disadvantaged people in this region, are currently being developed.
