Stadium titles a “huge success”

By Tenika Sanders

The Women’s National Rugby League Championships, held at Moreton Daily Stadium, have been acclaimed by Brad Donald, the NRL Player Pathways General Manager.

Queensland dominated the Under 19 competition having both finalists on Sunday. West Australia took the Open Women’s section.

In total, more than 350 players and officials were on the peninsula for the four-day (May 20-23) tournament to identify Australia’s “brightest talents”.

Great facilities

“The tournament was a huge success with players travelling from every state in Australia to participate,” said Donald.

“Players and staff were able to enjoy the great facilities in the Moreton Bay Regional Council area and the exceptional facilities at Redcliffe Dolphins and Moreton Daily Stadium.

“The NRL is appreciative of the efforts of all staff and players that made the journey, and the warm hospitality of everyone within the region.”
