The Caboolture fun day is the place to be if you are looking for an inexpensive alternative fun day at the Ekka. Held at Centenary Lakes on Monday the 13th of August from 10am to 4pm. This event holds free rides, exciting stage shows for the whole family to sit down and watch, activities, show bags, markets, food stalls and much more for the family to enjoy together. Head on down to the Redcliffe Botanical Gardens on the 5th of August from 9am to 3pm for a green thumb filled day. Entry with a gold coin donation will be appreciated. This event you can sit back and enjoy a range of entertainment options from a variety of gardening stages. A whole lot of fun with arts and crafts for the kids in the kid’s club zone. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
Redcliffe kite Fest
Date: 25th – 26th of August
Time: Saturday 9:00am – 8:00pm – Sunday 9:00am – 4:00pm
Place: Pelican Park, Clontarf
Head on down on the 25th – 26th of August to one of the most popular event on the Redcliffe peninsula. The Redcliffe Kite Festival transfers pelican park in to a sky full of flying colours. There is not just kites but much more from live music, jet ski stunt show, flutters fairy land and great food. Head on down for a family fun day out.

A 5km run – You against the clock. The only person you compete against is yourself. The run is for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace! parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and encourage people of every ability to take part
Please register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don’t forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won’t get a time.
