Looking For Something to do This Easter?

By Tanayah Wakefield

Looking for something to do this Good Friday with friends or the family? Be shore side for the spectacular start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.
The Redcliffe Festival of Sails is an annual event which takes place on the foreshore of Suttons Beach on the Redcliffe Peninsula with markets, family activities
and a prime possie to watch the yachts race by.

Considered one of the biggest yacht races in Australia, the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race sets the scene for this Festival. 2017 will be the 69th time this race has taken place. Usually occurring in the morning, the competing yachts will pass across Moreton Bay en route for Gladstone in the hopes of winning the prestigious Courier Mail Cup.

To get a good view of the event unfolding, bring your chairs or picnic blanket and binoculars and find a place on the beach early. Good spots tend to go fast!
